Vanessa L Tynes

Raised in Truro, Nova Scotia, Ms. Tynes obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s University in 1998. She attended law school at Dalhousie Law School obtaining her Bachelor of Laws in June 2002. Vanessa articled with Paul B. Miller at Miller Campbell & Associates in Lower Sackville, NS and called to the Bar in June 2003. Upon completing her Articles, Ms. Tynes began practicing primarily Family and Real Estate Law at the Halifax law Firm, Arnold Pizzo McKiggan until December 1, 2004 when she decided to open her own practice in the present location.

An active and member in good standing with the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society and the Canadian Bar Association. Vanessa is also a member of the Family Law Group of the CBA, an active member and past Vice President of the BNI Burnside Chapter, and currently serves as a board member for the Credit Union Atlantic.

Vanessa was also formerly the co-chair and member of the Race Relations Committee for the Nova Scotia Barrister’s Society.

In her spare time, Ms. Tynes enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, golf, and camping. She also rides a motorcycle and loves spending time with her son Tevon, and her dog, Dante.
